In the last article we discovered that we don’t know everything there is to know about the human body.  Far from it.

“In contradiction to decades of medical education, a direct connection has been reported between the brain and the immune system….It seems astonishing that, after centuries of dissection, a system of lymphatic vessels could have survived undetected.” via https://repairstemcell.wordpress.com/2015/09/16/system-connecting-brain-to-immune-system-found/

So what about processed foods?  Could the foods you are eating be a contributing factor to immune diseases like Multiple Sclerosis?

A study [Sodium chloride drives autoimmune disease by the induction of pathogenic TH17 cells ] showing that “mice fed with a high-salt diet develop a more severe form of (experimental autoimmune encephalomyelitis) EAE, in line with augmented central nervous system infiltrating and peripherally induced antigen-specific TH17 cells.”  In other words, “…increased dietary salt intake might represent an environmental risk factor for the development of autoimmune diseases through the induction of pathogenic TH17 cells.”  via

In the latest study, scientists discovered that exposing these cells in a lab to a table salt solution made them act more ‘aggressively.’  They found that mice fed a diet high in refined salts saw a dramatic increase in the number of Th17 cells in their nervous systems that promoted inflammation.  They were also more likely to develop a severe form of a disease associated with multiple sclerosis in humans.  The scientists then conducted a closer examination of these effects at a molecular level.  Laboratory tests revealed that salt exposure increased the levels of cytokines released by Th17 cells 10 times more than usual. Cytokines are proteins used to pass messages between cells.  via

More and more we realize that all the systems of the body are connected and everything we eat and do and don’t eat and don’t do has an affect.

Bare this in mind the next time you decide to “treat yourself” with some junk food.

For Best Results: Increase Gut Bacteria

“A healthy and balanced diet, as well as probiotics, have been known to be helpful in preserving gastrointestinal health for quite a long time. But it is only recently that the underlying mechanisms have become somewhat clearer. A rapidly increasing body of knowledge promises to further clarify the effects of our daily food on the gut microbiota and to indicate more targeted applications of probiotics in the near future. This was one of the topics presented at the Gut Microbiota for Health World Summit in Miami, FL, USA. On March 8-9, 2014, internationally leading experts discussed the latest advances in gut microbiota research and its impact on health.”  –‘Feeding gut microbiota: Nutrition, probiotics key factors for digestive health.’ ScienceDaily

We’ve all heard of probiotics and their dietary benefits. Now let’s use that knowledge and put it to good use when it comes to stem cell transplantation. According to the article we posted earlier, increased gut microbiota can increase the success and survival rate of patients post transplant. Now here’s the big question… ‘how do we increase these helpful suckers early and get them working ASAP?!’ Well, you probably guessed it–  eating foods rich in probiotics (such as yogurt)  is one way to do this! Click the links and find out why you should be feeding the little helpers alive in your gut and how to increase their diversity– and increase your chances of success!!

Roche’s diet drug tied to kidney damage | Reuters

More bad news about drugs. – dg

“In another blow to diet drugs, Canadian researchers are reporting a link between Roche’s Xenical and an increase in kidney injuries. Tapping into healthcare databases from the province of Ontario, they found that 0.5 percent of new orlistat users were hospitalized for kidney problems in the year before starting on the drug. Over the next year, that number jumped to 2 percent.”

Roche did not return calls for comments in time for this article.”

Dr. Donald E. Greydanus, a pediatrician at Michigan State University, who was not involved in the study but has written on obesity treatments [said:] “There is no safe panacea drug that works and that has no side effects,” he told Reuters Health in an email.

While 2% seems low to you and me, consider that this is kidney damage from a diet drug AND a 400% increase over typical incidents.

Eating certain foods may cut off the blood supply to tumors forming and existing in your body

by David Granovsky on Wednesday, March 9, 2011 at 9:19pm

This video ties together many of my beliefs. Here is a simple summation of the 18 minute video for educational purposes:

We know that not eating certain foods will reduce incidence of cancer but did you know that eating certain foods will reduce the incidence, growth and severity of cancer?

You can in fact eat foods that will turn on a response in your body to fight many diseases. In this case, the foods you eat actively starve and destroy the blood vessels feeding the tumors, thereby starving the tumor of nutrients and oxygen and thereby destroying the tumor. Blood vessel growth is angiogenesis, blood vessel starvation is called anti-angiogenesis.

Foods that promote anti-angiogenesis should be purchased from local, organic growers (less shipping, more ripe, less pesticides, etc) and the more of them you eat, the more effect they are.

In most cases, the foods should be eaten in the most raw and unrefined state you can get them except tomatoes which seem to be more effective when cooked. 79,000 men were studied and those that ate tomatoes 2-3x per week had 40-50% less incidence of prostate cancer.

The veggies can be juiced so you can consume more of the nutrients and less of the fiber. I can drink 2 heads of celery and 3 bunches of parsley a day when juiced…but if I tried to eat that in a raw salad form I would be bound up for a week.

AND, the more anti-angiogenisis foods you eat, the a huge side benefit is getting thinner. Obesity and cancer are directly related. Reduce the abnormal blood vessel growth associated with cancer and you will reduce the blood vessel growth in your fat (and vice versa) and you get thinner and healthier. This is seen in the book The Okinawa Diet that showed that the less obese you are the less cancer incidence.

Adult stem cells fix hearts – part 3

JUNE 24, 2009

Three days after my stem cell implantation I started walking through Bangkok again, my breathing had improved, my stamina was up, and for some reason I was really hungry all the time.

Before the treatment after walking it would take half and hour in air conditioning to stop sweating and my hr would be 110 to 120 for quite while cooling down.

In three days when I tried again my hr was 85 and I would stop sweating in 5 minutes. A week and a half later I had an echo done before I left and the bottom of my heart was very weakly beating again. This really gave me hope.

Two months later I did another metabolic stress test using the standard Bruce protocol and I scored 10.1 mets with a vo2 of 32. A 20% and 12.5% increase the doctor that had done my last one blurted out “absolutely stunning!” this put me in the 95th percentile for men my age of 37 years old, in other words out of a 100men my age 50 of them could not match my performance. If I lost 50 lbs then I would be way over the average.

Now 18 months later only a very small part of the bottom of my heart isn’t beating normally and I can do nearly everything I want to now. The only thing I have not done is hard sports because I still have a fear of maxing out my heart rate – old fears die hard.

All of my body chemical stats are now in normal range, I have maintained a cholesterol of 144 total without using any statins – I quite those several months ago.

  • The last three weeks of july I have worked over 90+ hours and I don’t feel especially tired
  • My last bike ride on a recumbent bike I rode 33.5 miles in 2 hours 20 minutes.
  • I can walk 5 miles on a whim, and not have to relax afterwards
  • I did a six minute walk test and I did 804 meters in 5 minutes which is on video
  • The next video I make I will attempt to do 1100 to 1300 meters in 6 minutes. – what else can I say.

Adult stem cells work. No placebo effect can change the physiological effects of heart failure that are easy to see and impossible to mask.

Adult stem cells fix the heart – part 2

JUNE 24, 2009

During rehab I worked very hard, finally being able to jog slowly up to two miles, but I could never get beyond that and that combined with going back to my job left me a shell of a man. Crashing from exhaustion on the couch every night and spending my weekends in bed trying make it through the next week of work. During this time my leg pain did go away, and with a good diet I dropped 90 lbs over the next 6 months.

Then the other shoe dropped, a CT was done on my chest and it was discovered that I had not only a pulmonary embolism, but I also had a giant branchial carciniod tumor that completely filled up the cavity occupied but my right middle lung. During my stay for those issues a team of cardios also looked after me. they told me at best I had maybe 5 years left if I was lucky and the very good transplant surgeon that would crack the right side of my chest gave the same chances of making threw the lobectomy as an 80 year old man.

Well I ended up being so stable during the surgery he worked an extra 2 hours on me and I recovered. I did have a bought with pneumonia also but I survived that as well.

1 ½ after my heart attack I went to Thailand for my stem cell therapy.

Before I left I had a metabolic stress test done using the advance haskell protocol. I scored 8 mets with a vo2 of 28.

Letters from Laura #1 – Autism, GI issues, chronic ear infections, breast cancer and Jenny McCarthy

In ALL ARTICLES, Letters from Laura on April 3, 2009 at 7:52 pm

Dear David-

Two years ago, my son was 16 months old and having terrible GI issues and chronic ear infections. He only slept through the night 4 times. We had him vaccinated for his MMR and immediately following he was losing his speech. We took him to docs who told us to put him on a white flour diet, handed us lots of allergy drug samples, and told us to get tubes in his ears. i was so frustrated.

one day, my daughter put a puzzle piece into my laptop and it got stuck. My husband ran it over to a computer place for me, and had our son Walker. A man there was looking at Walker and began asking my husband questions….was he drinking milk, how was his speech, etc. He (Stan Kurtz) introduced my husband to his 5 year old very healthy son, and told him his son was diagnosed with autism at age 2 and severe autism at age 3. They said he would never be a functioning child.

Stan did research and then changed his sons diet, put him on anti-fungal medication and Valtrex (they say that autism is a combination of infections, viruses, metal toxicity and intestinal fungus.) I called him the next day and he spent 90 minutes on the phone with me. He shared with me what he fed his son. He never asked for anything, offered no controversial drugs, and suggested I get a pure form of Vitamin B12 called Methylcobalamin and get him started on that.

That day we started the diet (no wheat, grain, dairy, sugar) and that night my son slept through the night. The next night the same, and on Sunday, he began speaking. We went to an autism doc and started the B12 shots and his vocabulary tripled. His GI issues went away. He has never had an ear infection since. Now we keep him on this diet and it’s been over 2 years. His teachers have no idea there was ever an issue and he speaks like a 6 year old!

Stan works with over 2K families and started a school.  He also helped with the recovery of Jenny McCarthy’s son. i was talking to him one day and he asked about my health. He asked if i had any sisters or any history of breast cancer. I said no. He said that with all the families that he sees, there is an unusually high incidence of breast cancer, and the thought amongst docs is that the fungal issues contribute to breast cancer. The fungus tends to be the glue that holds cancer cells together.

Three weeks later, i was diagnosed with breast cancer.

I went through all the treatments, and I am doing great.  Stan has us all on a real detox program and we all follow the diet.

The reason I bring this long story up to you, is that there are thousands of families who are treating their children for autism with great results and you hear nothing about it. Jenny said she was expecting teams of medical doctors to bust down her door asking how she recovered her child from severe autism. Not one call.
